LVA Logistics Inc is an American-owned and operated, asset-based flatbed carrier operating out of Hazel Crest, Illinois. We run our own trucks and employ our own drivers — we are not a broker handing your load to somebody else. In 2025 our fleet covered just under 3.3 million miles.

This role is open-deck over-the-road work: steel, lumber, machinery and building materials moving across the 48 contiguous states. Hazel Crest sits at the busiest freight corner in the country, which is why the miles stay steady.

What you will be doing

• Running open-deck freight coast to coast out of the Chicago area.
• Securing and tarping your own loads to FMCSA standards. Tarps, straps, chains and corner protection are supplied on every truck — you are not buying your own gear.
• Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keeping your electronic logs current.
• Getting signed delivery paperwork back promptly.
• Working with one dispatcher who knows your name and your home-time requests, rather than a rotating call centre.

What you need

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
• 21 years or older.
• One year of verifiable OTR experience preferred. Recent CDL school graduates are considered when the fit is right — say so on your application.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Current DOT medical examiner's certificate.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

No flatbed experience required. We train on load securement and tarping. Plenty of our drivers came off dry van and moved over.

Pay

$0.80 per mile, paid weekly by direct deposit — no held-back settlements. Drivers typically take home $2,500–$3,500 a week, consistently, with all miles paid.
